Personal Development

Aims:

This module is designed to offer the learner the opportunity to develope, practice and gain credit for a range of key generic personal and inter-personal skills which are important in dealing with many situations in working and social life.

Objectives:

On completion of this module the learner will have received training in order to assist him/her to:

  1. take responsibility for their own learning and development
  2. make effective plans and decisions in relation to life and work
  3. increase their effectiveness in life and work through enhanced interpersonal skills
  4. acquire the necessary skills to analyse and evaluate key issues
  5. develope an understanding of personal responsibility in relation to health, hygiene and safety; and
  6. recognise learning as a lifelong activity

Introduction to Gym Training

Aim:

This module is designed to assist learners to exercise appropriately and practice a health and fitness routine.

Objectives:

On completion of this module the learners will have received training in order to assist him/her to:

  1. complete a warm-up using a treadmill;
  2. complete a stretching routine;
  3. complete a fixed weight routine;
  4. complete a cool down using a stationary cycle.
