Community Garden

The idea of a community garden has caught on among council tenants living around Bridgefoot Street in Dublin's city centre. This allotment, an area of disused land at Bridgefoot St., Dublin 8 has a vast amount of different vegetables and friuts growing and they even have chickens. The garden is particularly aimed towards young people, to encourage them to produce and eat fruit and vegetables and to make them aware of locally produced food. The locals have brighten this area up which was a gloomy concrete sea with cold metal fencing around it but now there are colours all around the once cold metal fencing which is now masts for colourful ribbons
